IT Cosmetics Concealer: A fabulous night’s sleep in a bottle
Have you been looking for a product that makes you look well-rested, youthful, and glowy? For years, I did not think such a thing existed—until I found IT Cosmetics concealer.

By some magic, this stuff erases my undereye circles. I literally squeeze just the tiniest amount (about the size of, I don’t know, a Dippin’ Dot?) on my finger, dot it under my eye, and then gently blend it in, and the darkness/redness under my eye is gone. It not only lightens the undereye area but also brightens up my whole face, since it dries into a glowy, rather than matte, finish.
Anti-aging
More than just hiding the appearance of dark circles, this contains peptides, hydrolyzed collagen, hyaluronic acid and vitamin E to nourish the delicate skin under the eye and can actually help to improve the appearance of wrinkles around the eye over time. Win. Win.
Waterproof
This is an amazing feature for anyone who, like me, lives in a hot and humid climate. This product really does stay put on hot, sweaty days, and it even lasts in the pool or ocean for a bit (it only fades if I am rubbing water out of my eyes frequently). For me, the key is that I can wear it for a full day at the park or a walk on the beach and keep looking fresh for hours.
Concealer Shades
And for those of you who hate buying a concealer only to find that it is too light/dark/yellow/ghosty what-have-you, this concealer is the answer. This comes in 24—count ‘em—TWENTY-FOUR colors, divided into Light, Medium, Tan/Rich, and Deep skin-tone categories.
Now, I know that can be a bit daunting; however, my local Ulta store has the entire line of shades to sample. You can also do a virtual try-on of the product on the IT Cosmetics website, and they have a very helpful chart there to help you figure out if your skin is “Cool,” “Neutral,” or “Warm,” along with corresponding shades in each skin-tone category.
The Cost
This product is definitely in the swanky category, since one tube is $29. HOWEVER, this cost ends up being entirely worth it for me, since only the tiniest amount is needed each time I use it. Hand over heart, the last tube that I had lasted me well over a year. If I compare that to the number of tubes of drugstore concealer that I would typically go through in that amount of time (due to using more per application and for more frequent touch-ups) the cost evens out substantially.
